DANIEL J. ADAMINI

In 1978, Dan Adamini began his ministry of liturgical music at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette, Michigan. He has served parishes in Michigan, Illinois & Wisconsin as a cantor, guitarist and composer. Currently, Dan serves in the music ministry of St. Christopher Church in Marquette. An excellent clinician, he also provides workshops for those who wish to improve their own music ministry skills.

Since 1981, Dan has been composing music for parish celebrations. Over the years, his growing library of compositions have been used, tested and appreciated by the communities that he has served. Dan writes music primarily for use at Mass, and the most notable characteristics of his songs are his accessible and memorable melodies.
JOHN ALDRIDGE

John was born in England in 1940, but left there at the age of 12 when his parents immigrated to Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia). John played for his first church service at the age of 14, when he was a student at De La Salle College in East London, South Africa. In 1974 he moved with his family to work in Ireland.

In 1992 music became his full-time job, when he was appointed Organist and Director of Sacred Music at Knock Shrine in Ireland. He has composed several Masses, as well as numerous other pieces of music. In May 2008 John’s 54 years of dedication to church music were formally recognized by Pope Benedict XVI, who bestowed on him the highest honour that the Catholic Church can give to a layperson - the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice medal (for the Church and the Papacy), also known as the Cross of Honour.
VINCE AMBROSETTI

Vince Ambrosetti began working in pastoral ministry at the young age of seven, and has worked with parishes ranging from 100 families to parishes serving more than 5,000 households.

On October 4, 1977, Vince founded International Liturgy Publications, the oldest free-standing non-profit publisher of sacred music for the Catholic church. Among his many extraordinary experiences, he sang his song Sanctuary during Communion at Mother Teresa’s funeral in Calcutta, India, and has composed, recorded and performed for Pope John Paul II, the first English Mass Setting ever sung at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.

DAVID ANDREWS

Since 1987, David B. Andrews has been Director of Music at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wallingford, Connecticut. Holding a Masters Degree in Music, David is most well known for skills in improvisation, on both piano and organ. In addition to parish work, David is on the editorial staff of the Record-Journal newspaper in Meriden, Connecticut, and writes editorials and columns on a wide variety of topics and interests.

Among the hymn texts that he has written, "In This Church" is featured in the new Saint Augustine Hymnal, and was written in 2007 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the dedication of Our Lady of Fatima parish.
SR. MIRIAM BARKER, CDS

Sister Miriam Barker, CDS, was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. At the age of 17, she entered the Congregation of the Divine Spirit in Erie, PA. Sister not only had the talent for writing poetry, she also was an artist and an accomplished musician. During Sister’s 47 years in Religious Life, she taught music in the schools and was a nursing assistant in our nursing home in Canton, OH
ANN BERGER

While in formation at her Catholic high school, Ann Guettler Berger became a convert to the Catholic faith and, since that time, has been composing music for Sacred Liturgy. She studied music at Wayne State University in Detroit, and throughout the years, has worked as a children’s choir director and liturgist. Ann’s music is born of her deeply rooted faith experience at St. Joseph Catholic Church, her parish in Howell, Michigan.
LARRY BOBURKA

Larry Boburka has been the director of the teen music liturgy at St. Peter Cathedral, in Marquette, MI since 1997. Sacred scripture and its relationship to the youth of the church inspire his vibrant and prayerful music. From the quiet shores of Lake Superior, Larry has written an eclectic array of spiritual music that is specifically designed for exciting and reverent worship. Recently, Larry was asked to compose a song for the first ever Diocese of Marquette Youth Rally, which took place in January of 2008. The song, "Priest, Prophet and King" became the gathering hymn and title of this incredible event.
SR. SARAH BURDICK, SGL

Sr. Sarah Burdick is an evangelist who has ministered to many people in the United States and at missionary rallies in Eastern Europe, China, and Africa. She is the Director of Formation for the Servants of God’s Love and is also a co-host for a radio program called Notes from Above which airs on Ave Maria Radio. She has a B.S. in Education and an M.A. in Theology and is presently teaching Theology at Father Gabriel Richard High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
E. LOUIS CANTER

E. Louis Canter, OEF, is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is the Minister of Music for Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Kissimmee, Florida. While Louis is focused on Parish Ministry he gives workshops throughout the United States on topics related to Music and Worship. He also gives Parish Missions and Concerts. He is involved with interfaith dialogue and has participated in conferences and concerts related to the peace e efforts and praise and worship. He is a sought after accompanist and vocalist for numerous Christian Artists. His bi-lingual ability gives him freedom to work within the Spanish speaking community.
JEANNE F. CLARK

Jeanne began her career in Elementary Education, but was led to full-time Music Ministry in 1994. She is currently Director of Music and Liturgy at St Paul of the Cross Parish in North Palm Beach, FL, Diocesan Choir Director for Palm Beach, and NPM Palm Beach Chapter Director. Jeanne finds great joy in singing with her husband Jim, a gifted vocalist and composer. Jeanne discovers the work of the Holy Spirit in the enormous variety of musical forms and styles that God has given to His people.
JIM COWAN

Jim studied music at Western State College in Gunnison, OH and at Emporia State Teacher’s College in Emporia, Kansas. His training includes classical voice, piano, theory and harmony of music. It was while he was at Emporia State that Jim experienced a spiritual conversion, and began to seek for God’s direction in his life. He withdrew from school and went to the Benedictine Monastery in Pecos, New Mexico. It was there that he converted to Catholicism, and began to write songs for liturgy and worship. Until 2004, Jim worked as Director of Music for Conferences at Franciscan University. He had the privilege, each summer, of leading thousands in praise and worship. It was especially rewarding to lead worship at the many Steubenville Youth Conferences. He feels honored to have experienced the mighty works of God changing lives and touching these young people!
MATT DANIELS

Baritone and composer Matthew J. Daniels holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Louisiana State University. He holds additional music degrees from Florida Atlantic University (MA, BMus), and Indian River State College (AA). Additionally, he attended Manhattan School of Music in 2001 and studied voice with the late Metropolitan Opera baritone, Theodor Uppman. Prior to attending LSU, Matt was adjunct instructor of voice at Florida Atlantic University and Indian River State College. He is currently the director of music for Bishop Foley Catholic High School in Madison Heights, MI and associate musician at Guardian Angels Catholic Community in Clawson. In October of 2012, Matt was awarded a recording grant from the Co-op Press Fund and its subsidiary label, Emeritus Recordings, to record a professional CD featuring the music of American composers Sy Brandon and David P. Rossow - a dear friend and topic of Daniels' dissertation research.
RICH DITTUS

Singer-Songwriter, Rich Dittus is a contemporary musician who seeks to find ways to bridge the gap between the rich musical history of the Catholic Church and the contemporary music of today. Rich was one of the first to graduate from Ave Maria University's Music program with a concentration in sacred music. It was at Ave Maria where Rich developed a love for the musical treasures of the Church and opened his eyes to the great possibilities of building upon the tradition of sacred music in the Church. Rich enjoys performing at youth events and helps to lead music for the Ave Maria Youth Conferences, Catholic Heart Workcamps and in the past has been a musician for LifeTeen Summer Camps and Steubenville Youth Conferences. In addition, Rich also has a love for working with choirs and helped to restart a choral program at Bishop Verot Catholic High School in Fort Myers and has begun work helping to start a choir at St. Joseph Academy High School in St. Augustine. In his latest work, Rich teamed up with Catholic Singer songwriter and producer Tom Booth to put together a 5 song EP "The Beauty of Life". Currently, Rich is Director of Music at St. Peter the Apostle in Naples , Florida, where he lives with his wife and three beautiful girls.
ARMAND FECTEAU

Armand Fecteau is a prolific composer of sacred music. Since a young age, he was immersed in the musical activities of his New England parish. On first hearing, one can easily identify the romantic influence of his French Canadian ancestry. "Whosoever Lives in Me," "Let My Prayer," "God Beyond All Names," "Put on Christ" and "Pierce My Inmost Soul" are but a few of his enduring compositions.
DAN FEITEN

As a founding member of EKKLESIA, Dan Feiten was transformed and blessed by a music ministry that has profoundly touched many. His composition, "Seed, Scattered and Sown," has been sung in churches across the continents, including St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican. Other notable songs include: "Let the Heavens Be Glad," "Create in Me," "My Soul Is Thirsting" and "Be Near Me, Lord," and have withstood the test of time as they continue to be prayerfully sung by parish families everywhere. Dan is blessed by his ongoing service in the music ministry of Most Precious Blood Parish in Denver, Colorado.
DONALD FISHEL

Flutist Don Fishel studied at the University of Michigan School of Music under Nelson Hauenstein and Michael Stoune. After graduation, he embarked on a career in music publishing and began writing the Christian songs for which he is best known. His hymns "Alleluia, Give Thanks" and "The Light of Christ" can be found in the hymnals of the Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, and Roman Catholic churches. In 2004, he helped to commission "The Breath of the Spirit", a major new work for flute, organ, and readers. He has performed the piece in New York, Paris, Lisbon, Florida and Michigan. Don has played in dozens of productions including opera, comic opera, and musical theatre. His flute improvisations can be heard on recordings of contemporary Christian music.
RUBEN GALABEAS

In November of 2007, Ruben was named "New Artist of the Year" by UCMVA (United Catholic Music and Video Association). In 2009, Ruben will add to his collection of CDs and release "Noël," a haunting collection of original interpretations of Christmas classics, composed by Ruben with Vince Ambrosetti. In recent years, Ruben has recorded with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of London a collection of Vince Ambrosetti’s songs translated to Spanish, entitled: Ven Tu Que Trabajas (Come, You Who Labor). He has also recorded Lord, Send Out Your Spirit, I Give My All (with chamber players of chorus), Chaplet of Divine Mercy (with Vince Ambrosetti), and Way of the Cross according to Pope John Paul II (with Vince Ambrosetti). ANTHONY GIAMANCO

Anthony Giamanco, a native of Detroit, Michigan, received his musical training at Eastern Michigan University. He has held music director positions at both Catholic and Protestant churches. A widely published composer of many hymns, worship songs, and compositions for choir, piano, organ, handbell and chamber ensembles, Anthony’s style embraces pop, classical, jazz and theatre.

His passion for writing music began early in life, a passion that has never subsided. As a boy, he was mesmerized by the music he heard at Mass, whether it was Bach organ preludes and fugues, chant, folk hymns, 3-chord guitar songs, or Palestrina motets sung by a well-trained schola. This influence can still be heard in virtually everything Anthony composes.
MICHAEL GISZCZAK

Michael has two degrees in music from the University of Michigan School of Music and is a business owner and manager in the insurance sector. His love of music, the Lord, and His people have resulted in many musical contributions to the Body of Christ. His beautiful arrangements of famous hymns, and new settings of traditional texts, both English and Latin, include a setting for Mass. Mike produced a CD of original music from the Easter Vigil liturgy, has participated in numerous men’s singing groups and SATB choirs, directed choirs, and formed and led a popular acoustic male trio called "The Cornerstone," who recently shared The Ark stage with Deb Mantel and David Mosher. Mike serves as a soloist, cantor, bassist, and choir member in his congregation where his music has been enjoyed for years.
STEVEN GIVENS

Steve Givens, the writer of "By Your Side: A Way of the Cross for Teenagers," is a widely published author, composer and musician who lives in Chesterfield, MO. He is the author of a series of booklets for Catholic kids and families and the author of "Building Family Prayer & Traditions" and "Getting Confirmed: A Journey of Questions and Answers." He contributes to "Faith for the Future: An Illustrated Catechism of the Catholic Church," "Living Faith" daily devotions and the St. Louis Review. As a composer and performer, he has produced and recorded seven collections of music. His music is featured on two Emmy Award-winning documentaries broadcast nationally on PBS.
GONZALO L. GONZALEZ

Born in Madrid, Spain, Dr. Gonzalo L. Gonzalez now resides in South Florida where he is an active working musician. Gonzalo is Director of Music Ministries and Resident Composer for St. Thomas Catholic Church, a vibrant Cuban-American Parish. Dr. Gonzalez also works as a professor of music theory and composition at Florida International University and at the University of Miami. Gonzalo comes from a family of musicians, and he received his degrees in Keyboard Performance, Music Engineering, and Composition from the University of Miami. While studying in Miami, Gonzalo won several awards such as the University’s Chopin Piano Competition, the Symphony Orchestra’s call for scores, and the School of Music Award, one of the school’s highest honors. Gonzalo’s compositions have been performed in various universities, churches, and concert halls.
JESSICA HAWN

Jessica began her public ministry to the church at age of 13 when she joined her parish youth choir. Shortly after, she allowed the Lord’s divine providence to take over and her glorious musical talents emerged. Only six months into lessons, Jessica took on the responsibilities of playing the piano each week at the St. Peter Cathedral LIFE TEEN Mass, in Marquette, MI. Far beyond the skills of most pianists her age, Jessica soon began to set her prayers to music and compose her own songs. The tragic death of a friend’s mother stirred Jessica to pen a heartfelt and repentant song that truly captured, from the teenage perspective, the concept of surrendering to God’s plan. When she was barely 16, she took on the responsibility of writing the theme music for a major media campaign for the Diocese of Marquette. Her songwriting talents exploded and she soon began playing music at a variety of functions. Now, in her early 20’s, Jessica is emerging as one of today’s most inspired songwriters. From weddings to funerals, Sunday liturgies to prayer meetings, Jessica’s music has inspired the faithful to abandon themselves to the Lord and truly embrace him in the Eucharist.
MSGR. MICHAEL HERAS

Msgr. Heras was ordained in 1984 and is currently the priest of the diocese of Corpus Christi, TX. Msgr. Heras also serves as Chaplain to the Fullness of Truth Evangelization Ministries in Houston, and is a member of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre. You may also know Msgr. Heras as the host of the Gulf Coast Catholic Television News Program. He somehow finds time to fit music into his life, performing and composing liturgical works
JOE HIGGINBOTHAM

Joe Higginbotham graduated from the University of Tennessee with an Organ Performance Major. He holds a Master of Music Degree with a Major in Music & Liturgy from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a member of the program’s first graduating class. With over 35 years of experience as a liturgical musician, composer and teacher, Joe has directed the music at many diocesan events. Currently, he serves as the Director of Liturgy and Music at St. Bavo Church in Mishawaka, Indiana. As founder and president of Custom Hymnal, Inc., Joe is the co-publisher and co-editor of the First Edition St. Augustine Hymnal.
ANDREW HOFER, OP

Father Andrew is a Dominican friar of the U.S. Eastern Province of St. Joseph. Since his novitiate, he has written a plethora of profound hymn texts. Fr. Andrew was ordained a priest in 2002 and received his Licentiate of Sacred Theology in 2003. After teaching at Tangaza College of The Catholic University of Eastern Africa, he began his doctoral studies at the University of Notre Dame, specializing in the Fathers of the Church.
ROGER HOLTZ

Roger received his musical training at the University of Michigan School of Music, and has been the Music Director at Christ the King Catholic Church, Ann Arbor, Michigan, since 1995. Roger is a well-loved choral and ensemble director and singer; he was a regular soloist for the television show "The Choices We Face." His vocal talent and warm and engaging style have earned him many leadership roles in the music of the charismatic renewal, including the "Songs of Praise" series, and as a gifted leader of worship and liturgical music in many other settings. Roger says he is grateful that the Father never quits drawing him closer to help him grow in love with Jesus through the power of the Spirit. His inspired liturgical compositions include choral works, congregational songs of praise and worship and many responsorial Psalms.
JIM HUGHES

Jim Hughes is currently the Music Ministries Director at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Orange Park, Florida where he has served for the past 40 years. During this time he has worked with both traditional and contemporary choirs as well as with youth and children’s choirs. Jim has served as music liaison to the Diocese of St. Augustine, Florida’s Liturgical Commission, director and musician for diocesan youth summer camps, served on planning committees for NPM Conventions and diocesan liturgical events and given many liturgical, youth and music workshops, both locally and nationally. Jim started composing in the late 1970s and has written over a 200 liturgical pieces, including the popular, Mass of the Good Shepherd found in the St. Augustine Hymnal. Jim lives in Middleburg, Florida with his wife Shelly and has three daughters and five grandchildren.
KAREN KINNIE LILEY

While serving as a Director of Liturgical Music and cantor in 1985, Karen was proud to join EKKLESIA and expand her work in music ministry. Since that time, she has proclaimed her ecclesiastical journey as a blessing and reward. Karen wrote the inspired song, "Your Word Is A Lamp," found on "Seed, Scattered and Sown" as recorded by EKKLESIA. Among her most memorable honors, Karen was invited and privileged to sing with EKKLESIA for the Pope’s visit at World Youth Day in 1993. Now a school principal, Karen continues to write and sing, with a particular focus on children’s music that invokes the development of a caring community.
MICHAEL LARSON

In his early teens, Michael Larson was playing music at Queen Of Heaven Church, his parish in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He studied classical piano under Dr. George Robert, a student of Anton Webern, for five years. In 1997, Michael accepted a position as organist and pianist at First Community Church in Southborough, Massachusetts. Beginning in 2007, he served as a minister of music/pianist at St. Eulalia Catholic Church in Lexington, Massachusetts, where he began composing psalms, songs and hymns based upon the Lectionary readings. The parish family of St. Eulalia continues to pray Michael’s new compositions in the weekend Liturgies. Besides his musical involvement with the church, Michael Larson is also music director for "The Platters."
GEORGE LOWER

George currently serves as the Director of Music Ministries for Holy Name of Jesus Church in West Palm Beach, Florida, a post he has held since 1999. In this dynamic parish of 2,500 families George has formed and honed his ministerial skills while directing three choirs, leading music at all parish liturgies and overseeing all aspects of the parish music program. George is deeply grateful for the opportunity to share his music with the wider church family. It is his hope and prayer that God uses these songs to draw others closer to Jesus and his church.
BETH ANN MARTINEZ

Beth Ann Martinez is the Music and Liturgy Director for Saint Bruno Parish in Whittier, CA. She directs an adult choir, a children’s choir and a small contemporary ensemble in which she also sings. In addition, she manages and accompanies several cantors. Beth Ann’s composition "Bread for the Broken" was published by ILP in 2007.
BEVERLY MCDEVITT

Beverly has directed her local parish choir as well as children’s choirs, and has even had the opportunity to lead a 60-member choir to Rome to sing for the late Pope John Paul II. Hearing her own musical piece sung before the Pope remains one of her most memorable life experiences. She continues to serve her faith by leading two choirs and serving as the Director of Music for the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena in Allentown, PA and the Diocese of Allentown. Her beautiful CD, Peaceful Christmas, was released by ILP in 2006.
BRIAN J. NELSON

Brian J. Nelson was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1967 and began composing at age twelve. He received his Bachelor of Composition degree from the University of Michigan in 1990, where he studied with William Bolcom, William Albright and Nick Thorne. He completed a Master’s degree in Composition at the University of Wisconsin in May 2000 and a D.M.A from the University of Kansas (2011) where he studied with James Barnes. He currently works as the Director of Sacred Liturgy and Music at the St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center in Lawrence, KS. A convert to the Catholic Faith in the year 2000, he is a prolific composer of sacred music as well as chamber and orchestral works. His growing catalogue includes his Te Deum for Full Orchestra, Chorus and Soloists; Ballade for Violin and Piano; Mass of St. Rose Philippine Duchesne; Two Pieces for Orchestral Brass; and Responsorial Psalms for Advent and Christmas, a collection of responsories based on the Catholic lectionary, et al. To date, Brian’s music is represented on two CD’s: Responsorial Psalms for Advent and Christmas (November, 2009), featuring a sampling from the collection just mentioned; and Vocalise – Instrumental & Vocal Music of Brian J. Nelson which features a complete representation of Brian’s output from instrumental to chamber to choral to sacred music. Brian’s music is characterized by a strong melodic sense and an original tonality – his work is deeply engaging, and in each piece he clearly demonstrates his mastery of form, structure and powerful expression. He continues to compose both commissioned and non-commissioned works across a wide variety of genres and forms.
REV. KEVIN O’NEILL, C.Ss.R

Rev. Kevin O’Neil, C.Ss.R. has been a Redemptorist since 1975 and was ordained to the priesthood in 1981. For most of his ministry he has taught moral theology and is currently associate professor of moral theology at the Washington Theological Union in Washington, DC. He is co-author with Rev. Peter Black of The Essential Moral Handbook (Liguori Publications, 2006).
RICHARD PUTORTI

Richard is very active with youth and music throughout the Diocese of Albany. For more than 14 years he has served in music ministry by directing parish music programs, bringing spirited music to liturgy, inspiring youth to participate and directing diocesan musical celebrations. Richard has not limited his ministry to the parish level. Since 1996 he has coordinated the music programs for the summer and winter Christian Leadership Institute (CLI). In 1997 he accepted the invitation and challenge of organizing choirs and directing music for two major diocesan celebrations. Following the success of those events, Richard began an annual choral tradition, Tuned For Praise. This annual concert for youth and adults showcases the enthusiasm and wealth of talent of music ministers throughout the diocese. Richard recently developed a summer music camp for diocesan youth interested in studying liturgical music. Richard believes the most important thing we can do as we consider the future of liturgical music in the Catholic Church is to link adults with youth. Richard’s song "Instruments of Christ" is sure to win the hearts of all youth and young adults.
JOE RAFFA

Joe started participating in liturgical musical ministry in 1967 in Denver, Colorado and played guitar for some of the first "guitar masses" in the area. During one of his high school retreats, he had an opportunity to play with Joe Wise, one of the early liturgical music composers at that time. Inspired by Joe Wise’s compositions, Joe started composing his own music and, in 1975, became a member of the liturgical music group, EKKLESIA. Joe composed numerous songs and traveled nationally with EKKLESIA for fifteen years, giving workshops and providing music at conventions and conferences. Joe’s compositions have been an integral part of the recordings produced by EKKLESIA. Joe studied liturgical composition at the Rensselaer Liturgical Music Institute in Indiana and holds a Masters of Divinity degree as well as a Masters in Moral Theology. He continues as an active liturgical music minister at his local parish.
AMY RIGHI

Amy has over 30 years of experience in professional vocal performance and Music Ministry as cantor, instrumentalist, accompanist, choir director, clinician and consultant. Her liturgical compositions include contemporary songs, psalm settings, and choral and instrumental arrangements reflecting the inspiration of the gospel message. She received a BA in Music Education and MA in English from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. Currently, she is Director of Liturgy and Music for St. Isidore Catholic Community in Macomb Michigan, where her husband Anthony and three sons also serve as musicians.
KEITH SAMMUT

Keith worked for many years as the Director of Liturgical Music at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Brooklyn, New York. An accomplished composer, arranger and choral director, Keith has composed such epochal works as: "Lord, Send Out Your Spirit" (the title work of a recording with Steven Wolpert and Ruben Galabeas), "The Earth Has Yielded Its Fruit" and "Exodus 15: I Will Sing." Recorded in RCA studios in New York, this collection was re-released in 2007. Keith arranged and orchestrated this entire collection for full orchestra and choir.) He also orchestrated Vince Ambrosetti’s collection of music, entitled: "Written Not with Ink, recorded with the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra and published in 1985.
BOB SCHNEIDER

Bob Schneider began composing 25 years ago, but has only recently begun sharing his music. Bob is recently retired from a 50-year career in engineering and construction, but he was also an avid participant in local community theater for 20 years. Additionally, Bob played Big Band saxophone throughout high school and college. He currently plays piano in local pit orchestras and has recently begun teaching himself the organ. Bob resides in Avon Lake with his wife of 45 years, Chris.
TIM SCHOENHERR

Tim has directed, accompanied, and been a member of church and professional choirs since the age of sixteen. His ministry has included service to Presbyterian, Catholic, and Methodist churches in the Cincinnati and Detroit metropolitan areas. His composing career began during his current tenure as Director of Music, Orchard United Methodist Church in Farmington Hills, Michigan, where he serves as director of the Chancel Choir and the Average Methodist Band (AMB).
MARK STENSON

As a member of Ekklesia since 1976, Mark has toured the country as performer, worship leader and clinician at state and national conventions. Clinic topics have included: Guitar and Music Theory, Harmonizing A Melody, Keyboards/Synthesizers in Worship, Instrumentalists and Music Theory, Arranging in the Frequency Window, Instrumentation and Vocals.

From 1993 to 2007 Mark was the Director of Music for Spirit of Christ Catholic Community, Arvada, Colorado. The large parish of 3,200 families had 8 singing groups ranging from traditional Adult Choir to a full contemporary worship band.

Mark has composed/produced several original soundtracks for video productions and radio programs, including clients such as: Major League Baseball’s Colorado Rockies and the radio program Interfaith Voices, currently on National Public Radio (NPR).
BILL SVARDA

Throughout the years, Bill has made enormous contributions to sacred music. As the Director of Music at American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach, California (since 1977), Bill conducts two choirs and is responsible for all music and sound in a robust parish of more than 6,000 families. As a transcriber, arranger and engraver, he has served major publishers of Christian music and has served ILP in this capacity since 1985. Bill has trained and conducted the choirs for Vince’s foreign tours since 1987. As a composer and artist, Bill has been prolific. In 2001, he recorded In the Presence of the Lord (with choir and chamber players), a collection of eminently sing-able psalm settings. In 2006, ILP released a Eucharistic collection of his songs, entitled This Bread, This Wine. In 2009, ILP published "Waters of the River," Bill’s psalm settings for the entire three year cycle of the Lectionary. This is an essential resource for every parish music director.
JANE TERWILLIGER

In December, 2002, Jane Terwilliger, teacher and arranger of music for worship, experienced a calling in prayer to share the psalms and songs of renewal communities and their composers with the wider family of God. Through God’s grace, and the prayers, counsel and assistance of others, the publishing group Songs In His Presence was formed. Jane authored keyboard accompaniments of many beloved songs and psalm settings. These arrangements formed the basis for four recorded albums between December 2004 and July 2007 produced under her direction. They were released with accompanying songbooks of lead sheets, piano/vocal scores, vocal harmonies and later, instrumental arrangements. The music of Songs In His Presence and Jane’s editorial and arranging contributions continue expression under International Liturgy Publications, in choral octavos, piano arrangements, and in its Saint Augustine Hymnal. Jane also teaches, arranges, composes and serves in music ministry at Christ the King Catholic Church and in the ecumenical community "The Word of Life" in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
STEVEN VITALE

As a minister of music at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Stuart, Florida, Steven Vitale is a prolific composer, vocalist and pianist. He also regularly accompanies his prodigious daughter, Emily, who has been serving as a cantor since the age of 8. Steven is presently recording an original collection of songs with ILP, profoundly directed to his love of the Eucharist. His composition, "Behold," is sure to become a classic.
GERARD VOLK

In his home parish of St. Mary of Gostyn in Downers Grove, IL, Gerry Volk is a composer, music planner and primary instrumentalist for the LifeTeen liturgy. He has an extraordinary gift of melody, and his writing is youthful and invigorating. Currently, Gerry is producing an instrumental collection of his original works arranged for piano and flute.
TIM WELLS

Tim has served as accompanist and composer for the Contemporary Music Ensemble at St. Joseph University Parish (Buffalo, N.Y.) since 1998. He has been Co- Director for the group since 2003. Tim has also served as music minister for the twinned parishes of St. Anthony and St. Joseph in Lockport, N.Y. Additionally, Tim has helped out as music minister for the Campus Ministry at Mt. St. Mary’s Academy, a Catholic High School in the Buffalo area, for the past five years.
BRIAN WHALEY

Brian is the Music Director at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Baltimore. He teaches music two days a week at R.I.C.A., a state school for emotionally challenged teenagers. Brian began his musical studies at the age of eight, when he began playing violin. He attended Maryland’s Loyola College. There he continued to pursue his music with Campus Ministries, while receiving his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He sang and played violin, guitar, and piano in the college’s liturgies. In 1983, he co-wrote and co-produced his first liturgical album, Desert Rain, published by International Liturgy Publications.
SR. STACY WHITFIELD, SGL

Sr. Stacy is a member of The Servants of God’s Love, a religious community loving and serving the Lord in the Diocese of Lansing, Michigan. While teaching is her current primary apostolate, Sr. Stacy also serves in her community and in her parish as pianist, arranger, guitarist, and violist. Before joining ILP, she arranged and produced a CD of original songs from The Servants of God’s Love. A prolific composer, her beautiful compositions radiate an intimacy with the Lord and the life she shares with others in the Holy Spirit.
PATTI WILSON

Patti graduated from Saint Mary’s College in South Bend Indiana with a degree in Music Composition. For the past 13 years she has been the music teacher at Our Lady of the Assumption School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has also served as a choir director in this parish. In 1998 her bilingual hymn was chosen from 52 entries in a composition contest sponsored by the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. The hymn was used during the liturgies and ceremonies in celebration of the Cuarto Centennial of the Archdiocese.
