You Are Not Alone was written by Vince Ambrosetti as a special tribute to commemorate the anniversary of September 11th. It helps us to remember that as we belong to one another and to God, we are never alone.
Belonging to God does not merely translate to a one-time cataclysmic confession of our beliefs that we profess with only our lips. Rather, belonging to God requires that we live our Baptism every day. In this belonging, we are given an immeasurable gift. With this gift, we are challenged to make our believing evident in all of our decisions and actions. Through this purposeful, living confession, we are reminded that we will never be alone.
May we never take for granted the gift of our freedom; may we never underestimate the power and responsibility of our Baptism. In all that we do, all that we say, all that we sing, and all that we become, may we reflect the goodness, the light and the love of God, to whom we belong.
